ESPN Caribbean presents LIVE Coverage of the 2014 International Cricket Council (I.C.C.) U19 Cricket World Cup from the United Arab Emirates

ESPN Caribbean brings exclusive coverage of the tenth edition of the elite 50-over tournament featuring the cricket stars of tomorrow commencing February 14.
ESPN Caribbean presents live, exclusive coverage of the tenth edition of the world’s most prestigious One Day International (ODI) youth competition, the 2014 I.C.C. U19 Cricket World Cup, from February 14 until March 1 from the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E). Matches will air live from Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium at 12:15 a.m. (EST) in the Group Stage and at 2:45 a.m. (EST) from the Super League Semi-Final stage onwards via the ESPN Caribbean television network, as well as on ESPN Play (www.espnplay.com) — ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband service.
The 16 teams have been divided into four groups which will consist of the I.C.C.’s 10 Test playing nations, five regional associate and affiliate qualifiers (Scotland, Canada, Namibia, Afghanistan and Papua New Guinea) as well as the host nation. Defending champions, India, will be vying to become the first team to successfully defend the title since Pakistan in 2006. Both teams lead Group A alongside Scotland and Papua New Guinea. Group B comprises last year’s finalist Australia, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Namibia while Group C lists South Africa, West Indies, Zimbabwe and Canada. Group D will pit New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka and U.A.E.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super League knockout with coverage brought specifically from the Dubai International Cricket Stadium matches. The Quarter-Finals will be played on February 22 and 23 while the Semi-Finals (February 24 and 26) and Finals (March 1) will be contested as day-night affairs. This continues ESPN Caribbean’s coverage of the West Indies’ participation in major tournaments in the build-up to the senior team’s title defense of the I.C.C. World Twenty20 trophy, which will be broadcast exclusively by ESPN Caribbean in March 2014.
