ESPN will present live coverage of The 154th Open Championship across the Caribbean from Thursday, July 16, through Sunday, July 19, from Royal Birkdale in Southport, England. All four rounds will air live on ESPN2 and ESPN on Disney+ beginning Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET.

ESPN on Disney+ will provide complementary streaming coverage of Marquee Player Groups, Player in Focus and Live at the Range feeds giving fans additional ways to follow selected players throughout the championship.

The final men’s major championship of 2026 returns to Royal Birkdale for the 11th time and the first since 2017. One of The Open’s most celebrated links venues, Royal Birkdale will once again test the world’s leading players as they compete for the Claret Jug.

World No. 1 and defending Champion Golfer of the Year Scottie Scheffler headlines the field as he seeks to become the first player since Padraig Harrington in 2008 to successfully defend The Open title. The field also features Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Ludvig Åberg, Collin Morikawa and Tyrrell Hatton. Jordan Spieth returns to the site of his memorable 2017 victory, while Southport native Tommy Fleetwood will have strong local support.
