ESPN’s comprehensive, four-day coverage of one of the season’s most coveted titles begins Thursday, Mar. 12, at 7:30 a.m. ET, as THE PLAYERS Championship tees off from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Coverage continues through Sunday’s final round from TPC Sawgrass.
Throughout the tournament, fans can follow multiple streams of coverage highlighting key moments from around the course. In addition to the main telecast on ESPN, ESPN on Disney+ will provide coverage of Featured Groups and Featured Holes, giving viewers additional ways to follow marquee players and signature moments from TPC Sawgrass. ESPN will go even deeper with its All Access digital offering via ESPN on Disney+ – allowing viewers to watch select coverage of every shot from every group from every hole.
The championship once again brings together one of the strongest fields in golf, with many of the world’s top players set to compete. Defending champion Rory McIlroy headlines the field, while World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler looks to win the tournament for the third time in four years. Xander Schauffele, Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas, Tommy Fleetwood and Tony Finau are also among the standout names scheduled to compete. Brooks Koepka returns to THE PLAYERS for the first time since 2022, and Akshay Bhatia enters the week after his victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
