NHL Action Returns Tuesday, October 7, with Opening Night Tripleheader on ESPN and ESPN on Disney+ in the Caribbean

ESPN will present exclusive coverage of the 2025-26 National Hockey League (NHL) regular-season in the Caribbean, with select games on ESPN and ESPN2, and all the action available to stream live on ESPN on Disney+.  

The puck drops on Tuesday, October 7, with a primetime tripleheader to launch the new season. 

Opening Night coverage begins at 4:00 p.m. ET with The Point, ESPN’s signature studio show, featuring player interviews, expert breakdowns, and season outlooks. At 5p.m., the action begins as the Florida Panthers host the Chicago Blackhawks in Sunrise. Connor Bedard enters his second NHL season after a standout rookie campaign, while Florida opens the season in pursuit of a third consecutive Stanley Cup Final appearance. 

At 8 p.m., the Pittsburgh Penguins visit Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Rangers, followed by a Western Conference clash at 10:30 p.m., with Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche facing off against the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena. 

The first week continues on Thursday, October 9, at 8:00 p.m. as the Dallas Stars host the Winnipeg Jets on National Hockey Night. 

For the first time, every NHL regular-season game will stream live in the Caribbean on ESPN on Disney+.
