ESPN presents exclusive coverage of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 season than began last Friday, July 5. Fans across the Caribbean can look forward to an action-packed month of cricket, with live broadcasts of every match culminating with the Final on Sunday, July 28.
Launched in 2023, Major League Cricket is America’s first and only world class professional T20 league. Following a successful debut season, MLC returns this summer with its six founding teams taking part in the competition: current champions MI New York, the Los Angeles Knight Riders, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings, and Washington Freedom. The league will also showcase top-tier talent including Faf du Plessis, Andre Russell, and Rashid Khan. Additionally, emerging talents such as Ali Khan Harmeet Singh, Saurabh Netravalkar and Andries Gousand Corey Anderson are expected to make significant impacts this season.
The MLC matches are set to take place at Grand Prairie Stadium near Dallas, TX and Church Street Park in Morrisville, NC. The tournament features a round-robin format where each team plays against the others in a series of matches. The top teams from the round-robin stage will advance to the playoffs, culminating with the championship game.
