Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA. (June 5, 2024) – Starting June 26, 2024, the new Disney+ in Latin America will provide its subscribers with an expanded array of relevant and quality content for all audiences. On a single platform and through simplified access, subscribers will be able to enjoy the depth and breadth of series, movies, Latin American productions, documentaries, and live entertainment from Star and ESPN sports, expanding the content offering that already included stories from Disney’s beloved brands.
Major Global Premieres
The new Disney+ will feature major premieres and new seasons of beloved series for Latin American audiences including:
- 35th season of The Simpsons will premiere on July 31
- Third season of FX’s series The Bear will debut on July 17
- 4th season of Only Murders in the Building will arrive on August 27th
- New series La Máquina from Searchlight Television, 20th Television and La Corriente del Golfo, starring Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal, will be added to the platform this year
- Additionally, the 20th Century Studios film THE FIRST OMEN will premiere on Disney+ on July 10
- Star Wars: The Acolyte, the live-action series from Lucasfilm whose season will finale on July 16.
- Other highly anticipated series include Agatha All Along from Marvel Television, which will premiere on September 18; Ariel, the new animated musical series from Disney Branded Television inspired by THE LITTLE MERMAID, and Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, which will be included in the service this year.
ESPN’s Sports Content
ESPN’s wide sports offer will be available for Disney+ subscribers, who will be able to enjoy all the cricket’s attraction, all the courts of the major tennis tournaments, the always vibrant American football, golf’s majors, the shocking hockey from NHL, Formula 1 and MotoGP from start to finish. In addition, the adrenaline of the UFC and boxing, and an unparalleled offer of baseball, basketball, cycling, lacrosse, football, voleyball, softball and athletics. Plus, the best sports analysis of SportsCenter, ESPN’s insignia show, and the most relevant shows.
Made in Latin America
Together with leading production companies from the region, new Latin American productions of various genres and starred by recognized talents will soon make their debut on the platform. In July, it will premiere: On July 16, Peter the Great: Greater Than Ever, the continuation of the iconic Colombian series; on July 19, the third season of the successful Argentine series The Boss; and on July 24, the 5th season of Impuros, the acclaimed Brazilian drama series (these last two from the production label Star Original Productions).
During the second half of the year, projects such as the second season of the docureality The Montaners; Checo Pérez: ¡No te rindas, cabr*n!, a new docuseries about the renown Mexican F1 racing driver; the documentary DANNA: Tenemos que hablar – Un filme de Childstar which follows the personal and professional transformation of the artist; the dramedy The King of the Machos, starring Luis Tirado Morales and Christian Chávez; the reality Los Chávez, featuring Mexican boxing legend Julio César Chávez and his family; the new comedy series Mamá Cake starring Susana Alexander and María Antonieta de las Nieves; The Absent Voice, based on the best-selling novel by Gabriel Rolón, starring Benjamín Vicuña and Gimena Accardi; and the dramedy series The Best Heart Attack of My Life, based on the famous namesake story by Hernán Casciari.
Expanded Content Offering
The deep and broad integrated content offering of the new Disney+ is formed by thousands of hours of quality entertainment from all genres and for all audiences. Starting June 26, subscribers will also find on Disney+:
- Animated comedies for adults like all the seasons of The Simpsons, Futurama, American Dad, and Family Guy.
- Series that captivate audiences like Grey’s Anatomy, 911, Criminal Minds, American Horror Story and W.A.T., which not only will showcase their complete seasons but will also premiere soon new seasons on Disney+. Reality shows like The Kardashians whose season finale will arrive on Disney+ on July 25. All seasons of the iconic series This Is Us, Modern Family, Desperate Housewives, The Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, Prison Break, and The X Files.
- Latin American talent with global impact featured in content that reflects the stories and culture of Latin America and has traveled to other parts of the world, such as The Boss, Nothing, Holy Evita, Impuros, and Pancho Villa. The Centaur of the North.
- Acclaimed and award-winning films and sagas from Disney’s studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures such as CRUELLA, ENCANTO, SOUL, BLACK PANTHER, INDIANA JONES, STAR WARS, AVATAR, and POOR THINGS.
- The best of sports for fans with live broadcasts of matches, tournaments, and championships from around the world, and expert’s analysis in local productions like SportsCenter.
- Global artists at subscribers’ fingertips with titles like The Beatles: Let It Be; The Beatles: Get Back; Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles (by Billie Eilish); Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u; Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story; Bono & The Edge A Sort of Homecoming con Dave Letterman; BTS: Permission to Dance, The Beach Boys, and concert films like: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium, and Queen Rock Montreal.
- Adrenaline and pure action from Marvel Super Heroes with series like WandaVision, Loki, X-Men ‘97, Moon Knight and the franchise’s latest theatrical releases like DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS, THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER, AVENGERS: ENDGAME, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3, and BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER.
- The force of Star Wars’ content: all the saga films and series like Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Andor, Young Jedi Adventures, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and The Bad Batch.
- Entertainment to enjoy with the family with classics that have touched generations like THE LITTLE MERMAID, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE LION KING, ALADDIN, and thrilling live-action stories like PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, MALEFICENT, and HOCUS POCUS.
- All the innovative and beloved films from Pixar Animation Studios, including TOY STORY, COCO, UP, SOUL, LUCA, TURNING RED, MONSTERS INC., BRAVE, FINDING NEMO, and ELEMENTAL, as well as shorts, series, and documentaries.
- Titles from National Geographic to delve into our planet like Free Solo, Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, Welcome to Earth, Volcanoes, Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory, Secrets of the Whales, Secrets of the Elephants, and Secrets of the Octopus.
The Company’s general entertainment offering will be grouped into a new Star section (including Searchlight Pictures, 20th Century Studios, and FX titles, original productions created entirely in Latin America, and live entertainment); and ESPN’s offer, the most renowned and respected brand for sports fans in the region, under the new ESPN section; in addition to the series, movies, and documentaries available in the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic sections.
Entertainment Tailored to Each Subscriber
Disney+ parental control feature* will ensure that the platform remains a suitable streaming experience for all family members. Subscribers will be able to create profiles protected by a PIN and establish, for certain profiles, access limits based on content ratings.
New Subscription Plans
Alongside this new integrated experience, subscribers will be provided with new plan offerings that cater to different preferences and needs of consumers, the new Disney+ will be available through three subscription plans**:
- Disney+ Premium: Family-friendly content, Star’s general entertainment and ESPN’s sports, with the best audio quality (Dolby Atmos) and video quality (UHD/HDR)***; accessible on up to 4 devices simultaneously and including the live transmission of all linear ESPN channels, and all exclusive streaming sports events. This option will allow subscribers to download up to 25 titles on up to 10 devices.
- Disney+ Standard: Family-friendly content, Star’s general entertainment and ESPN’s sports, with video quality at 1080 px and Stereo 5.1 audio***, including live streaming of ESPN and ESPN 3 linear channels. This plan will give the possibility to enjoy content on up to 2 devices simultaneously and download up to 25 titles on 10 devices.
- Disney+ Standard with Ads: Family-friendly content, Star’s general entertainment and ESPN’s sports, with video quality at 1080 px and Stereo 5.1 audio***, including the live streaming of ESPN and ESPN 3 linear channels. This plan will be initially available only in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia, to be integrated into packages offered by commercial partners, such as Mercado Libre, which will bring this package to the named countries through their loyalty program.
Subscribers who already have a direct subscription to Disney+, Star+, or Combo+ will start to enjoy the Disney+ Premium plan as of June 26.

*About Disney+ parental control
Disney+ has parental controls that subscribers can configure to ensure that each profile has an appropriate experience according to content ratings in each territory. Content with a higher rating than that of the selected profile will not be shown when browsing or searching for content. In addition:
- A 4-digit profile PIN can be set to restrict access by others to a specific profile. Once profile protection is activated, a password will always be required to create a new one.
- Child profiles (already available and referred to as “Junior Mode” within the platform) offer an easy-to-navigate Disney+ interface that only includes content suitable for all ages. It also includes the “Protected Exit” feature to ensure that children do not explore other profiles without completing a challenge.
Following the integration, the standard content classification for new subscribers will be 18+, allowing access to the entire catalog. Those who already have profiles created simply need to verify that their setting is adapted to the content they wish to enjoy.
** In Caribbean, Disney+ Premium will be the only package available from June 26th.
