Formula 1 Returns to America: Sunday’s Miami Grand Prix Live Across the Caribbean Networks
Full Coverage of Sunday’s Race as well as the Practices, Sprint Races and Qualifying
After starting the 2024 season with races on opposite sides of the globe, the Formula 1 World Championship comes to America this week for the third annual Miami Grand Prix, starting this Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5. Live coverage of all the weekend action will be available across ESPN2, ESPN Play and ESPN Extra. Sunday’s race will air live on ESPN2 and ESPN Play with pre-race coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET followed by the race live at 4 p.m.
For the first time, the Miami Grand Prix will include the F1 Sprint, a 100-kilometer race that will be run on Saturday at 11:55 a.m. and air live on ESPN2. ESPN platforms also will televise practice and Sprint qualifying on Friday and traditional qualifying on Saturday after the F1 Sprint.
The 2024 Miami Grand Prix will mark the third edition of the Formula 1 race held at the Miami International Autodrome, a semi-street circuit built around the iconic Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. This year’s event will be the first to feature the new sprint race format, with a single practice session on Friday followed by sprint qualifying, a 19-lap sprint race on Saturday, and the main 57-lap Grand Prix taking place on Sunday.
