Formula 1 is back for its 74th season, with the Bahrain Grand Prix. The race will air live on ESPN on Saturday, March 2nd at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by the Gulf Air Bahrain GP at 9:55 am.

The Bahrain GP will take place at The Sakhir International Circuit, located in a desert area of 31 kilometers from the capital of Bahrain, Manama, and will kick off a calendar made up of 24 races, a record in Formula 1. The 15 curves and prominent straights, spread over 5,412 meters, will represent a great challenge for the pilots, due to the sand that is released from the environment.

This venue, remembered for hosting the first top category race in the Middle East, will present something never seen before for this start of the season: the main races will be held on Saturday; and it also puts on the table the desire of the riders to beat Max Verstappen and his Red Bull RB20.

DATA FOR WARMING UP ENGINES

• Hamilton can mark the stop in Bahrain, with the exception of last season, given the Briton has been present on all the podiums since 2014.
• The top winner in the Bahrain GP is also Hamilton (5 wins). He is followed by Sebastián Vettel (4), Fernando Alonso (3) and Felipe Massa (2).

This championship seems to have started before, with Hamilton’s recent announcement on joining the Ferrari squad. For the 75^th season, the red team will have Lewis Hamilton as one of their drivers, replacing Sainz.

This means that this campaign will have no news in the teams’ lineups, but a historic move by the driver is confirmed for 2025; this season, the teams’ names have changed more than the drivers.
