- The long-awaited 2022 World Series will be LIVE on ESPN for Caribbean fans to be witness of a great contest promised by the Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies.
After an exciting Championship Series, the highly anticipated 2022 MLB World Series will be available LIVE on ESPN. The Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies, winners of the American League and National League Championship Series, respectively, will meet in the 118th edition of the Fall Classic.
Broadcasts begin with game one on Friday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET, where the Astros will host the Phillies at Minute Made Park in Houston, Texas.

How did both teams get here?
- During the regular season, the Houston Astros won 106 games, while the Philadelphia Phillies recorded 87 wins. Those 19 wins difference between both teams became the second largest in history in a World Series edition.
- The only recorded participation of the two teams in the postseason dates back to the 1980 National League Championship Series.
Houston Astros
- The Houston Astros reached the World Series for the fourth time in the last 6 seasons and will seek their second title.
- In total, the Houston team has reached 5 World Series counting the present one (2005, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022). In the first 4 World Series, Houston started off by losing Game 1.
Philadelphia Phillies
- The Philadelphia Phillies are in the World Series for the eighth time and will be looking for their third title in history. The last one they won was in 2008 when they beat the Tampa Bay Rays in 5 games.
