After two years the All England Lawn Tennis Club opens its doors for the 2021 edition of this prestigious tennis championship. The men’s competition includes No. 1-ranked and defending Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic, who comes from winning the Australian and the French Open and will encounter Roger Federer and other strong players such as Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, among others.
In the women’s competition 14 different players have obtained the last 22 Majors, including five first-time champions in the last eight. The field is wide open, considering Naomi Osaka’s time off and Simona Halep’s injury withdrawal. This could also be Serena Williams’ first title as a mom and her 24th Major title, tying Margaret Court’s record.
