ESPN to air the 2021 MLB Opening Weekend April 1-5, with coverage of a 10-game stretch across four days.
ESPN will present coverage of the 2021 Major League Baseball season starting Opening Day, Thursday, April 1 at 1 p.m. ET. The network will air approximately nine hours of Opening Day coverage of a quadruple header starting with the Toronto Blue Jays vs. the New York Yankees. A total of 18 MLB Teams will appear on ESPN’s national season-opening slate.
The 2021 opening weekend will feature the defending World Series Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the Colorado Rockies at 4 p.m. ET. The Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies game on Sunday will begin at 1 p.m. ET and the defending American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays vs. the Boston Red Socks game will start on Monday at 7 p.m. ET, with a total of 10 games airing live on ESPN and stream live on the ESPN App. It will also offer exclusive live streaming of pregame and postgame action.
ESPN will provide comprehensive coverage of the 2021 MLB season on its news and information platforms, including SportsCenter – broadcasting with several guest commentators, analysts, and talents – and ESPNCaribbean.com. The 2021 MLB Opening Weekend begins at 1 p.m. from historic Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York, U.S.
