ESPN Caribbean Presents 2019 Grenada Invitational

ESPN Caribbean will present its third consecutive live and exclusive coverage of the Grenada Invitational, the Southern Caribbean’s premier track and field meet, this Saturday, April 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2 Caribbean and ESPN Play.  Kirani James, a two-time Olympic medalist and Grenada’s first Olympic medalist, will serve as event ambassador and welcome competing athletes to his namesake stadium in St. George’s. The meet will feature over 140 athletes, including three-time Olympic competitor Asafa Powell and Justin Gatlin, current reigning 100m World Champion and Rio 2016 silver medalist.

Sanctioned by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF), the Grenada Invitational is one of the first meets of the annual outdoor track and field season.

ESPN’s 2019 coverage is part of its multi-year acquisition of exclusive rights to the Grenada Invitational through 2020 in the Caribbean, United States and on ESPN digital platforms.
