ESPN Caribbean’s Coverage of Rio 2016 Continues

Top Events in Athletics Feature Jamaican Sprinter and Gold Medalist Usain Bolt

ESPN, the official broadcaster of the 2016 Rio Olympics in the Caribbean, continues its more than 200-hours presentation of the Games on TV with more than 12 hours of daily coverage on TV, simulcast on ESPN Play, and extensive news and information onESPNCaribbean.com.

This week’s top events in Athletics feature Jamaica’s star and fastest man alive, Usain Bolt, who is competing to defend his triple-triple victories (100m, 200m, and 4x100m) from Beijing 2008 and London 2012. Bolt already won gold in the 100m title after finishing in 9.81 seconds.

The “sprint king” continues his bid with the first rounds of the 200m and 4x100m beginning on Tuesday, August 16 at 10:50 a.m. ET and Thursday, August 18 at 10:40 a.m., respectively.

In addition to the athletic events, ESPN Caribbean will continue to present extensive coverage of those competitions featuring Caribbean athletes including taekwondo, triathlon, wrestling and diving, in addition to the most anticipated competitions of the week.
