ESPN Caribbean continues its exclusive coverage of the tenth edition of the elite
50-over youth tournament with the Super League knockouts commencing February 22.
ESPN Caribbean will present live, exclusive coverage of the Super League knockout stage matches from the 2014 I.C.C. U19 Cricket World Cup, from February 22 until March 1 from the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E). All matches will air live from Dubai International Cricket Stadium with select Quarter-Final clashes set for 12:15 a.m. (EST) and both Semi-Finals due for a 2:45 a.m. bowl-off via the ESPN Caribbean television network, as well as on ESPN Play (www.espnplay.com) — ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband service.
The 16 participants have been narrowed down to the final eight in the world’s most esteemed One Day International (ODI) youth competition. ESPN Caribbean will present the defending champs, India, facing England, as well as the West Indies’ clash with last year’s beaten finalist, Australia. Sri Lanka oppose Pakistan while South Africa face Afghanistan to round out the Quarter-Finals, which are slated for February 22 and 23.
The Semi-Finals (February 24 and 26) and Finals (March 1) will be contested as day-night affairs as ESPN Caribbean extends its coverage of the West Indies’ participation in major tournaments to build to the senior team’s title defense of the I.C.C. World Twenty20 trophy, which will be broadcast exclusively by ESPN Caribbean in March 2014.
